tarpon info

Tarpon migrate through Port O'Connor from around may through october, with a few fish hanging through December depending on the severity of the winter. An extremely fun fish to catch , Tarpon are a very sought after fish on the gulf coast. When conditions are right you can catch and release as many as you can handle.

I furnish all tackle and equipment...

for the Tarpon but you are more than welcome to bring your own gear. Preferably 30# test with a 100# leader for live bait fishing. 12/50 braid works well for casting artificial lures at em' but be careful: it will cut you big time!

We have had several trips last year where we caught over 18 fish!

Weather and high winds play a significant factor for catching tarpon, however, So be prepared for possibly having to target other fish in that scenario.

As far as fly fishing goes if you want to fish it than bring it!

I dont personally fly fish that well but I can put you on em' and the rest is up to you. Look forward to fishing with you.
